From here, guests can easily explore many of the state’s most loved destinations including Acadia National Park, Camden, Belfast, Moosehead Lake, Mt. Katahdin and the surrounding lakes, rivers, and trails.

Conveniently located in Holden near the Bangor area, our family-friendly campground sits directly on Route 1A — the road to Bar Harbor and other sites at Acadia National Park — making travel to Maine’s coast simple and convenient. We are also located near the interstate for easy access while traveling throughout Maine and New England. For guests flying into Maine, we are just a short drive from Bangor International Airport, making Holden Family Campground a convenient destination for travelers renting RVs or campers for their Maine adventure. Guests also appreciate nearby shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, and essentials including a Walmart about one mile away.
Our central location makes the campground the perfect home base for exploring many of Maine’s most popular destinations, including Camden, Belfast, Moosehead Lake Region, Mount Katahdin/Baxter State Park area, and countless lakes, rivers, and hiking trails throughout the region.

Relax in our heated swimming pool. Enjoy our screened-in clubhouse for game nights, gatherings, family fun, and relaxing with friends — and don’t forget our Saturday Morning Mug Meetup with fresh coffee and donuts provided to start the weekend off right.

All sites are full hookups with 30 or 50 Amp. Metered electricity charges are added for rentals of one week or more.
All sites are connected to municipal water supply (city of Brewer). No more worrying about water quality or pressure from wells!
A limited number of pull-thru sites are available. All sites are large (2500+ sq. ft.) and can accommodate any sized RV.
Parking for extra vehicles is available.
